Thank you so much for wanting to be part of the very first Rebel Scum Con Convention Family! We are excited that you are about to begin to fill out this application.  We look forward to getting to know you and you getting to know us!

By filling out this application, I acknowledge that I understand I may receive certain benefits as a team member, to be agreed upon at a later date between Rebel Scum Con and myself.  These benefits include, but may not be limited to, access to the event, an exclusive Team Member Rebel Scum Con T-Shirt, ability to obtain autographs on Team Member Rebel Scum Con exclusive T-Shirt,  Refreshments (Lunch, Snacks, & Drinks).  

Registering to assist at this convention does NOT guarantee a position.  Each application will be reviewed.  Please understand that we would like to accept everyone, but we are limited to the number of crew members we can accept.

Assignments will be based on need and individual ability.  There are some activities team members think are less glamorous than others, but each position is important.  

Your conduct at the show is a reflection on Rebel Scum Con.   If we determine that your behavior is unbecoming to the show, we have the right to remove you from the Team.  You may be required to return your badge and shirt and possibly be put on probation while we assess any questionable events that have occurred.  Note that in particular, any type of harassment or bullying is considered a serious offense and may result in being banned from future conventions.  Bullying can be against and not limited to the following - Vendors, Attendees, Celebrities, Staff and other Team Members. 

Rebel Scum Con needs team members who can provide ample time/services in assisting on one or all four days. Those providing the most flexibility will be given preference.

This opportunity is a great way to help build community within the organization and to grow the fandom.  We want you to have an enjoyable experience and will be doing all we can to make sure that happens!

What is required for someone to volunteer?

Professional attitude, hard work, have in mind they represent the con so positive attitude is a must. Be at our minimum age of 16. And reliable transportation.

How long is the volunteer shift?

Volunteers are expected to work all day during Con hours, but not every day at the convention (they can choose preferred days to work on the sign up form). 1 hour break for each day they volunteer, and bathroom breaks as they need it. Check in at the volunteer desk 1 hour before doors, and check out as the con closes its doors everyday.

Dress Code

Volunteer shirt that will be provided on shift check in, one shirt per Volunteer, not one shirt per shift.

Casual dress code: jeans, leggings (fun printed leggings encouraged!), no rips or tears, shorts, Khakis, knee-length skirts, capri pants.

Comfortable shoes.

Cosplays are not permitted during volunteer hours but feel free to have fun with makeup or accessories.

Practice good hygiene and avoid using excessive amounts of perfume/cologne, hairsprays that may cause a problem for allergy sufferers.
